I have spent time talking with Bushbuck's front office about conservation and have found that they are friendly, reliable, and committed to both conservation of Tanzania's protected areas and the sustainable development of Tanzania itself. Check them out, it's worth your while. Nathan Wendt, American College Student (University of Colorado-Boulder).

My wife and I were on safari from May 29 to June 9, 2001 and had an incredible time. Bushbuck made all the arrangements for lodging, meals and entrance to the national parks, and everything came off perfectly. Our driver, Hassan, was excellent, with knowledge of the areas traveled, a great ability for spotting and identifying the animals and knowing their behavior patters, allowing us to see some unbelievable sights. All in all, we had a great time, thanks to Bushbuck! Steve Winogradsky, Los Angeles, California, USA

We (2 Swiss and 4 German) went on safari over African Safari Club from the 14.07 - 20.07.2001 with Bushbuck Safaris. We had a great time and an excellent experienced driver. Our safari was a great adventure.

We have following suggestion to the tour operator Bushbuck and African Safari Club:

- Safaris in June and July in the Serengeti shut also go to the western side of the park (Masai Mara Kenya border) as the most of the animals located in this area in this time.

Please give our best regards to our driver from Ariesara and Kurt

We have made a safari (the best of Tanzania) with bushbuck last week and it was fantastic! Specially we want to thanks our driver guide Stephen: he was great! We had the possibility to see the beautiful parks in Tanzania, to see animals and know them. We also learn a little bit of swaili. But, first of all, we know a taste of your beautiful country an his people. For this reasons we want to say thanks to our guide, he will always stay in our hearts! Until bushbuck will has people like him to do safaris visitors will be never unhappy! Thanks again and our best wishes from the "italian group: Raffaella, Alex, Mauritius, Cristina, Daniela and Riccardo" we were very pleased.

My wife and I were on safari in Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro back along (15/02/01 to 21/02/01) it was a most amazing experience. Bushbuck excelled themselves by tailor making the safari to suit the animal locations following abnormal weather a few weeks before we arrived. Our guide, had an uncanny instinct for being first at any particular spotting, giving us 20 minutes peace with the animals before radioing in and informing others. His knowledge was spectacular and anything he was unsure about (not much) was covered by an excellent selection of wildlife books on board. The whole safari was very well organized backed up up with very helpful staff and well maintained equipment ... We had a brilliant time. Would recommend Bushbuck anytime ... keep it up! Our family just completed a wonderful 10 day Tanzanian safari, including Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and the Serengeti.

The lodges and food were excellent and the Tanzanian people were warm and friendly, making us feel most welcome.

The highlights of the trip were the Ngorongoro crater, which was one of the most beautiful places on earth and the Serengeti, which is simply teeming with wildlife.

Mensa, our guide, was exceptional and made us feel safe on safari while sharing his vast knowledge of the Tanzanian ecosystem. We will never forget this "experience of a lifetime." Thanks to Bushbuck for their professional approach to making sure that all details are covered.

Greeting from America, Last May 3 of my children and myself went on a Safari with Bushbuck ltd. Our tour guide was Adam and we had the time of our lives. Your company was extremely professional and Adam made sure we would have a memorable experience. On our way back to Kenya we stopped by your office for t-shirts (we loved the logo). You said to e-mail you as there were none there at the time. I was hoping to purchase some for souveniers ( and maybe some advertising as well. Please let me know if this is possible. Hello - My husband and I went on safari with Bushbuck in June of 2001. Carlos was our guide (our GREAT GUIDE!) and the tour was arranged through African Travel, Inc. We did Arusha, Manyara, Tarangire and Serengeti. Everything was wonderful. We are planning on returning in 2003 and would like to do everything we did before PLUS add on a few days at Grumeti River Camp. We will be contacting African Travel soon, and cannot wait until our return. We will definitely ask for Carlos again too! Deborah and Robert Dennard

Hello from us in Southboro, MA (USA)!! We returned safely this weekend-March 21, 2003 (despite the war/conflict) and have many wonderful memories of the trip of a lifetime. Our journeys with Bushbuck were unparalled and we wanted to say thanks for exceeding ALL our expectations!

USIAH was by far the best guide!! I am sure many of the guides are unbelievable but we cannot say enough about him or enough thanks to him! Without a good guide, a safari could be a very different experience! We still think of how amazing he is at spotting things (things even other guides missed!!). He was fun, very informative, possesed an "eagle eye", great english skills and helpful in any way possible--------we will definitely ask for him when we return for future trips.

We were fortunate enough to have a great vehicle to ride in as well(we were also by ourselves so had quite a bit of freedom as a result!). There is nothing we would have changed as everything was as close to perfect as 2 honeymooners could expect!

One question we dod have to help clarify for future safari-goers and for future trips for us...

What is the policy/etiquette for inviting the driver to meals? We would have enjoyed having Usiah with us at all meals as he was a real hoot to have around. One meal we were charged for his meal and 2 others we were not. It would just be helpful to know how this all works (both were Serena hotels). Thanks for any clarification that helps us and future travelers out!

Much success to your company in the future and THANKS again for such an unbelievable adventure!!

Our family had the privilege of going on a 5 day Safari with Bushbuck Safaris from June 25 to June 30, 2003 Our guides and drivers were Carlos and Mensa. It was the best vacation of our lives. Carlos and Mensa were excellent guides and drivers. We want to compliment you on having them on your staff. They were punctual and eager to help us find wildlife and were very knowledgeable about the area and animals. Our family of four (me, my husband and our daughters, 19 and 15, had a great experience with Bushbuck Safaris in Arusha, our guide and his assistant were wonderful. The climb was an experience of a lifetime. We took the Coca-Cola route - or Marangu. Pole-Pole (walk slow) is important and "mind over matter" will do the trick. The summit climb in the middle of the night is really hard but seeing the sun rise on the top is worth it. We felt such a sense of accomplishment! I am especially proud of my younger daughter Michelle who besides having little possibility to train for this - there are no mountains to climb in Miami, FL - could not take Diamox due to allergies to Sulfa drugs. The rest of us took Diamonx and it helped. Lots of water helped too. For those who plan to climb: Do your homework, read everything you can. I found lots of advice here. Take lots of warm clothing and pack your stuff into garbage bags. It helps keep things dry and organized. Gaiters help and so do Balaclavas. Walking sticks do wonders for aching knees. Have fun - we did!

Bushbuck Safaris is a fine outfit and all of their personnel are most professional. You do have an extremely talented staff. The trip was well planned and executed. The guides knowledge of the region, it's history and customs and their ability to pass this information along to the clients really helped to make this a very enjoyable experience. Four of my friends and I (all of us in our 50's and 60's) were on safari with Bushbuck Tours (after climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro) in Sept., 2001. We couldn't have chosen a better tour operator. The vehicle was modern and in top shape, and our driver/guide, astonished us with his knowledge of the wildlife (both birds and animals) and his uncanny ability to spot wildlife at a distance. As a result of his diligence, we were the first van to come upon a lion-kill in progress, and were able to film the entire "operation". Some photos of our tour can be found on my website: http://www.alrobinson.com . Thanks again, Bushbuck (and especially our guide) for a wonderful safari!

Dear Mustafa Panju I have been looking at your website for some time and the latest version is very nice, especially the colours. You arranged a lovely unforgettable safari for my family in October 1996 which included Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The lodges (Sopa and Serena) were delightful and the food was excellent. Our driver/guide was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Due to his experience we actually saw a cheetah kill and stayed watching for over an hour. Thank you for making our holiday such a memorable experience. We hope to visit you again. We are two ladies from England (aged 45 and 50-something)and booked a seven day safari with Bushbuck commencing on the 27th February 2004 and ending on the 4th March 2004. All we can say is - Would we do it again? - YES DEFINITELY. The service we received was superb from start to finish. Akber Panju helped us plan our safari and his guidance with the number of days at each lodge/camp and what could be covered between each location helped make our trip our dream come true. Our Driver/guide was brilliant - particularly dealing with the unexpected "Wet and Wild 4x4 driving experience" in Tarangire - we would have paid £'s in the UK for a driving experience like that :-). We were looked after very well by Akber before we even arrived in Tanzania, cleared everything at our pre-safari meeting and were very sorry to have to attend our post-safari meeting as we really did not want it to end. We hope to come back again and this time bring our husbands/partners with us. They are very envious when they look at our photographs. Thank you all at Bushbuck, once again. from Linda and Ros

Dear Akber,

I had an absolutely fabulous time in Tanzania, it was the trip of a lifetime for me.  I have wanted to go to Africa since I was a child and I used to watch people such as Armand and Michaela Dennis in Africa with the wildlife, on the television.

Linda and I couldn't have had a better or nicer guide/driver.  He was absolutely brilliant and looked after our interests extremely well.  I'm finding it very difficult to settle down - friends who have been to Africa in the past always said to me that Africa gets under your skin - and they are so right.

Our safari in Africa were magical and exciting, Like Linda, I would certainly recommend Bushbuck Safaris to anyone who was going out to Tanzania - the service is excellent.

Please say a huge thanks to our driver/guide for making the trip so interesting, and expanding my knowledge of birds.  I shall be looking for a suitable book on East African birds to remind me of the trip.

Once again a big thank you for arranging a wonderful Safari.

Best wishes.
Ros

Our safari, in 2000, began as a nightmare. The first outfitter was harassing my family, hiring thugs to visit the hotel and making all sorts of threats. Bushbucks not only stopped the harassment, but delivered a superior safari at a cheaper price. They have obviously been in Arusha a long time and are a respected family. The vehicle was comfortable and the driver/guide friendly and reliable. They bent over backwards to make ours a once-in-a-lifetime experience. In a sea of piranha's, these guys stand out as honest and reliable.

Greetings again from NYC! As promised, I wanted to share a few things about my recent experience to Tanzania. My Mother and I travelled together -- she is 72 years old -- and had an amazing time on safari. Our "pre trip briefing" laid out everything that we were to expect and there were no bad surprises along the way, only good surprises (like some of the animals that we didn't expect to see but did). The itinerary was well thought-out and worked very well for this group. We had just spent a week in Kenya with a tremendous amount of driving between lodges and found that the Tanzania portion of the driving -- although dusty and bumpy, as promised! -- was much more palatable. The distance between lodges was manageable and the flow of the itinerary from one game park to the next was easy on the group, even my 72 year old Mom! The lodges were all very nice, we had no problems there. Two-night stays were preferable to one-nighters but we only had one one-nighter and that was fine. The lodges differed in their architectural offerings and I preferred the Serena lodges to the one Sopa that we stayed in but that's really a matter of personal preference and I would imagine that everyone would like different things. Everyone at the lodges was courteous and accommodating of any requests that we had, and that was important to me given that I was travelling with my Mother. Finally, I must comment on our Guide, as he was what made our safari exceptional. His extensive knowledge about the animals, the culture, the people, the topography -- the list goes on and on -- was quiet impressive to our group as we are all well educated people and had many questions on every possible topic. He always answered our questions with consideration and wouldn't mind if we kept asking some of the same questions over and over again (Mom!). He knew exactly where the game were and was able to explain their behavior and habits. We had the opportunity to see some very unusual things, like a female lion with her four tiny cubs! Besides his wealth of knowledge, he was always on time (early) to pick us up and he was well organized and often "ahead of the curve" in keeping the group organized. The inside of the truck was always clean and tidy and our ice box always filled with water. He communicated with everyone in the group to let us know where we were, what we were looking at, what time we were to meet, how long it would take, etc. He was very considerate of my Mom and her needs and got her a stepstool to get into the truck. As a result, my Mother always felt safe and comfortable, and her positive experience on this trip was important to me. I would have no problem recommending a friend to go on a Bushbuck Safari. It really was an amazing experience all the way around! Best regards, Colleen Burckle

We spent 9 days on safari beginning with the coffee plantation in Arusha, then moving to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Olduvai Gorge and Serengeti. The trip was flawless! The guide makes or breaks the experience and our guide throughout the trip was Mensa and he was exceptional. Judy and I can't say enough about what he added to the trip. He would be the first person I would invite to dinner if he were here. When we come back, it will be with Bushbuck and Mensa. Jimmy and Judy Smith Borrego Springs, Ca. (that other rift valley)

Hello, It's me Mark. Went on a Safari last year solo with mensa. Had a blast and want too see more since the trip I took to Isreal and their security destroyed my photos want to experience it again. Does Mensa still work with you? He was the best and I would prefer that we would travel with him. It would be for 2 adults and one child, private safari during june or july for ONLY the Serengeti (2 days)and the Ngorongoro (1 day) and visit the Kilimanjaro (1 day) Parks. Let me know if this is possible. I really had an unbelievable time doing business with you last time. tripolars@msn.com or markbustos@msn.com Sincerely, Mark Bustos

Just wanted to tell you how THRILLED I was with my "last minute safari"! I came in to your offices on Fri Feb 25, looking for a two day safari for Sat Feb 26 & Sun Feb 27 for myself! And...you guys did it! Akber arranged a driver, AND Saturday night at the Ngorongoro Sopa lodge! I never dreamed I would stay at that Sopa lodge during what I found out was high season in Tanzania! Even the manager at Ngoro. Sopa said I was "very lucky" to have gotten a room for Saturday as they were fully booked for months! I wanted to see Olduvai Gorge for the whole two days, but Akber kindly suggested Olduvai Gorge for one day and Ngorongoro Crater for the second day, telling me I might like it, even though I had not wanted to "bother" with animals. Well, Ngorongoro Crater turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life! (Olduvai Gorge was equally stunning!) My safari included all meals, driver and vehicle for Saturday and Sunday, and the Saturday night at Sopa lodge...and a ride to the airport Sunday night! Upon my return to Bushbuck offices to change to the vehicle to go to airport, Akber and his staff wanted to hear all about my adventure and were admiring my pictures within minutes of my arrival, as Akber had obtained all card readers known to man so he could read any digital camera memory card! ;-) My solo safari was worth every cent! Akber had told me he felt bad that I had to pay for the whole safari by myself instead of sharing the cost with others, but I told him that was my choice and I thanked him for his concern! (I told him I'm a bit of a loner anyways!) In Bushbuck's air-conditioned office ;-) I received superb service, I was amazed at Akber's ability to find me a night at one of the best lodges in the country, as well as how he arranged a great driver and vehicle in only 18 hours notice, during high season! During my safari, I had complete flexibility as to where I wanted to go at any time, and could not keep the grin from my face. I am from Canada, and this was my first visit to Tanzania. I work with my family in the booming real estate industry in Vancouver, B.C., and am used to giving superb service to my clients. So, when I saw that's what I was getting at Bushbuck, I immediately decided I was going to book my safari with them then and there. In my eyes, I got excellent value for money. If you deal with Bushbuck, you won't be sorry, they are professional, experienced, and know what they are doing! Signed, Shannon Rae, Vancouver, B.C. Canada

Dear Akber, As we didn't have a chance to meet with you directly after the safari, I must tell you that we sincerely enjoyed our trip. Leo was fabulous!! Additionally, if you have other clients in the US who are considering a safari but would like to speak with someone "live" who has done it, you are more than welcome to refer them to us. I know that it's difficult to trust because of the many companies and the amount of money (and the wiring) and if I can help someone feel more secure, I'm happy to do it. Thanks again, Adriane adriane@travelinggirl.com

Back in February 2005, we spent a one-week safari in Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire parks. We truly enjoyed the experience, our stay in the Wildlife Lodges, our vehicle, and the help of our guide Prosper. We have seen more animals than we even expected (including leopard and cheetah) and learned a lot about all of them - birds, animals, tiny chameleons. This is thanks to Prosper who could answer most questions (what he did not know, we knew where to find in all his field guides). Prosper is also very professional and discreet. An asset for Bushbuck Safari. At the end of February, the weather was just great, with occasional rain that made the roads less dusty. We loved everything. Thank you from all our group, Philippe Angers and his friends Monique, Francine and Henri, from Québec.

We had a wonderful trip in Kenya and Tanzania. The lodges and game parks in Tanzania were particularly well run and enjoyable. We cannot say enough about our Tanzanian guide/driver. He was responsible, informed and as interested in the parks as we were. At the Tanzania border, when the car from Mara was delayed, he stayed with us for three and half hours and did all the radio and phone contact necessary to make sure a driver was set to pick us up.

Our favorite property was the Kirawira tented camp. You were right, the western Serengeti is special. Peaceful and beautiful. The views and location of the Mara lodge are spectacular. The game in the Serengeti is superior. All the lodges did a good job. We were able to get the family suite which made the stay there very comfortable. At all the other lodges they easily gave us adjoining rooms or a family unit. I can’t imagine a hotel group offering as consistent a level of service as the Serena did in such challenging locations. Good job. We will be back.

Sincerely, Steve, Susan, Nick and Hannah Bieszczat

Ps. A final thanks to you for the arrangements and in particular your selection of Deo as our primary guide.

Dear Mr. Panju: Director

Just a brief note to let you know how pleased the Benjamin's and the Marian's are with the service provided by the staff of your organization during our recent African safari (20 January to 31 January).  All of your members were courteous, professional and knowledgeable and answered every one of our questions to our satisfaction.

Of particular note was our guide, Prosper Munuo.  He was the key to our successful experience.  His enthusiasm, knowledge of the animals and the territory, willingness to help and his strong sense of his obligations to the success of the endeavor are true testaments to the personality and convictions of this individual.

We appreciated and enjoyed every minute of every 10 hour day we spent on each of the safari days with him and his performance at all times was much more than we ever hoped for or expected.

We believe him to be one of your most valuable assets as well as a true ambassador of Africa.

Hopefully our testimonial will go a long way in improving his position within your organization. We believe he will be valuable in any capacity above and beyond his present position and that all of his clients should share that opinion.

Asante sana and la la sallaama.

We were on Safari with your company July 19th 2005 through August 2nd and our guide was Stephen Mbuya. What an excellent choice in employees to be our guide. He was so knowledgeable, kind, gentle, wonderful, patient, I could go on forever. Anyone wanting to go on safari would be wise to book with Bushbuck. It was the most wonderful experience of our families life. From each and every detail, it was masterfully orchestrated. The accommodations were spectacular, but our favorite part of all was our driver. What an asset to your company-we wanted to bring him home with us. Please pass on much love to him. A family of four enclosed for 7 days in a vehicle might be a recipe for disaster - but we wanted more after our brilliant Bushbuck Safari. We had a calm, authoritative, friendly and flexible driver -very knowledgeable and perceptive. He took us to some extraordinary places - often with no other vehicles around as we found some astonishing wildlife. He also found us a day-time walking leopard - heart-stoppingly unusual. Bushbuck take good care of their clients, and I would not hesitate to recommend their services. Thanks to all involved -- Kim Darton

Thanks to Bushbuck Safaries and Mr. Akber for arranging a wonderful experience in Tanzania! Our safari was stunning. The best driver/guide Leo made the game drives into exiting adventures. He is most knowledgeable, nice and must have some rare connectoin with the animals, he found them all! The lodges were excellent. However one was outstanding; the tented camp of Mbusi Mawe in Serengeti! Luxury feeling, family-like friendly atmosphere and top sevice! Our trip to Zanzibar was excellent, the resort Ocean Paradise was ecaxtly as the name; an ocean paradise. So again, thank you for arranging and planning the whole trip for us, everything was 100% to our satisfaction, and we have already recommended Bushbuck Safaris to friends and will do so in the future. Philosophically minded.- We usually endeavor to acquire one attitude of mind, one set of opinions for all situations and events in life- it is mostly called being philosophically minded. But for the acquisition of knowledge it may be of greater importance not to make ourselves thus uniform, but to hearken to the low voice of the different situations in life; these bring their own opinions with them. We thus take an intelligent interest in the life and nature of many persons by not treating ourselves as rigid, persistent single individuals.

The one thing needful.- One thing a man must have: either a naturally light disposition or a disposition lightened by art and knowledge.

The Skin of the Soul.-As the bones, flesh, entrails, and blood-vessels are enclosed within a skin, which makes the aspect of man endurable, so the emotions and passions of the soul are enwrapped with vanity, - it is the skin of the soul.

The sage as astronomer.-As long as you still experience the stars as something "above you" you lack the eye of knowledge.

Help yourself, then everyone will help you. Principle of neighbor-love.

Incense.-Buddha said: "Do not flatter your benefactor." This saying should be repeated in a Christian church-right away it clears the air of everything Christian.

Antithesis.-Antithesis is the narrow gate through which error is fondest of sneaking to the truth.

In our own wild nature we find the best recreation from our un-nature, from our spirituality.

Madness is rare in individuals-but in groups, parties, nations, and ages it is the rule.

Remorse.-Never give way to remorse, but immediately say to yourself that would merely mean adding a second stupidity to the first. -If you have done harm, see how you can do good.-If you are punished for your actions, bear the punishment with the feeling that you are doing good-by deterring others from falling prey to the same folly. Every evildoer who is punished may feel that he is a benefactor of humanity.  What is the seal of attained freedom?-No longer being ashamed in front of oneself.

Dear Mr. Akber

Thanks from Norway!

Thank you again for arranging our trip to Tanzania in such an excellent way. We are most satisfied, if possible, more than a100%!!  What stands out, is our fantastic driver Leo, the game drives and the tented accomodation of Mbusi Mave. We have recommendes Mbusi Mave on your comment side. (A suggestion: The comments should be in the opposite order, the newest ones should appear first). The stay at Ocean Paradise can be recommended too, very nice, beautiful & quiet place.

My husband have already decided that we shall be back in Serengeti in two years, with Bushbuck Safaris!

We shall recommend your company to friends and family.

Dear Mr. Akber Panju, Director, Bushbuck Safaris,

We would like to thank you for having and assigning us Leo Sumawe, as our guide, for 7 days in Tanzania in November, 2005. Mr. Sumawe is a talented game spotter and very gifted birdwatcher who could see and identify birds with his naked eyes that we needed our spotting scope to see. His flexibility and hard work to cover as much of every National Park we visited, resulted in us seeing 200 new birds and remarkable animal sightings. Of all the guides that we encountered in Africa, Leo was the most knowledgeable. We hope that he is as treasured in the company as he is by us. We will be referring our birdwatching friends to Leo and your company. We hope that when we return to Africa we will have the privilege of having him guide us again, this time with our granddaughter! My wife Lynn and I went on safari with Bushbucks in February 2005. We visited Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti Parks for six days. Carlos was our driver/guide and he was extremely knowledgeable of the game and their behavior patterns. He was always watchful for our safety and our desires. We especially enjoyed the Crater and the Serengeti experiences. We stayed at Serena lodges throughout and were very satisfied with our accommodations. Bushbucks do a professional job of organizing all elements of our safari and we plan to return to Tanzania in near future so that our children can have the same experience . Our driver Carlos remains our friend and we will use Bushbuck and Carlos on our return.

Dear Mr. Panju,

My sister, brother and I have just returned from a fabulous safari trip to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti.

We were very impressed by our guide and driver Eliser Letawo.  His knowledge of the terrain, its ecosystem as well as all the games, birds and vegetation is simply outstanding.  He also displayed safe and professional driving skills, patience, wisdom and good manners that can only be attributed to an intelligent and well educated individual.

Please accept my congratulations for having such a fine person on your team.

I am already planning a similar trip next year and my brother is also planning to return with friends.  We both look forward to another fascinating adventure in beautiful Tanzania and thank you for the impeccable service we were afforded.

My family and I went on a safari through Bushbuck in Dec 2005. We visited the parks in the northern circuit - Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Arusha national parks. Each of the parks is different and unique in its own way, with lots of wildlife but with different landscapes. The safari arrangements by Bushbuck were excellent - the safari vehicle were robust 4 wheel drives in excellent condition. Our guide was an excellent and safe driver with an ability to spot and identify animals hidden in the grass even as he was driving. His knowledge of the local flora and fauna as well as tribes, customs, history etc was impressive as was his command of English. We found the service from Bushbuck both before and after our trip top notch and would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone interested in taking a safari trip in Tanzania. All in all a wonderful memorable holiday and when we return for another trip in future we are sure to go with Bushbuck. -G.Bhat, Singapore

We travelled with Bushbuck Safaris in 2001. We had an outstanding time on our safari in Tanzania.

Bushbuck safaris were very professional and courteous in their operations, and assigning Carlos to be our driver and guide. He had an excellent blend of knowledge and humour, and also knew when to leave us in peace to enjoy the magnificent vistas in front of us.

Our trip went from Arusha to Lake Manyara, followed by a few days in the Serengeti, and then the awesome Ngorongoro crater. Our trip was outstanding in every way. The accommodation was excellent, as was the quality of our vehicle, a very new Land Rover, which was fully equipped, and for our personal use only.

I would not hesitate to recommend Bushbuck Safaris to anybody.

Best regards to all at Bushbuck!

Dear Akber

We were delighted with all aspects of our safari but were most happy with three things. First, the safari program we were first offered was exactly what we asked for and what we wanted. No corrections, clarifications, or repeated instructions were necessary. As a result, we feel that we saw the most we could in the time we had. We also felt that a very appropriate amount of time was allotted for each park. Second, throughout the pre-vacation time, we emailed questions about payment, preparations, visas, baggage restrictions, and a miscellany of things I don't even remember (thankfully) now. Akber was always extremely prompt in replying. I always got a response the same day, or it was waiting for me the next morning, and often the reply was almost immediate. All this under the strictures of an eight or nine hour time difference. Third,  I would again also like to commend our driver's performance. He drove very well, and I say this as someone who likes to drive fast and hard. He was careful, very protective of the vehicle and of us, but also managed to not drive like an old lady. He also pointed out a huge number of things (land animals, birds, plants) that we did not see, explained in detail many interesting things we did not know about or think to ask about, and was also informative about how the drivers interact, how the safari companies work, life in Arusha, life for the staff and drivers on safari, etc. Finally, he made a small detour so that my wife could see the shifting sands, and took us to a couple of nice shops on the road to Arusha that we never would have known about, so that she could pick up some gifts.  I imagine he is one of your very best drivers, and we feel fortunate to have been assigned to him. One last thing is that at the end of our trip when we met with the Bushbuck staff, they were so clearly interested in how our vacation went and solicitous of comments and any advice or insights we might have had.

We will recommend Bushbuck to anyone and everyone who is planning a safari.

Best to you, your wife, Deo, and the rest of the staff.

Mustafa Panju,

I send this letter to show our appreciation for the fine job your firm did in handling the Tanzania portion of our (June 14-30, 2006) safari. Every part of our time with Bushbuck was enjoyable and well handled. We have passed on this positive report to Dave Patterson of Africasafari (Our primary agent).

Barrasa was knowledgeable in all phases of the trip. He knew the land; the animals (his ability to spot game was outstanding); the history; the people; the politics and he wasn't fearful of expressing his personal feelings to outsiders. We thank him for that. He made the time spent much more meaningful for all of us.

Since there were 3 generations (Father, children, grandchildren) included on our trip, our hope is that some of us get another chance to spend time with you in the future. In any event, we wish you well and again thank you for a job excellently performed.

Dear Mustafa:

Happy New Year!!

I had the pleasure of meeting/having Chepe Mwamsojo of Bushbuck via Serena as my driver/guide on this last safari. Chepe is one of the best driver/guides I have ever had in Tanzania by far. He is outstanding in driving and guiding. I wanted to let you know what an outstanding job he did. I look forward to returning with a group and hopefully being in Tanzania again soon, God willing.  I will request Chepe as my driver.

Again Chepe, thank you for an outstanding job of taking good care and showing us lions in trees other than Lake Manyara!  I shall return!!! I am already looking forward to a return--smile.

Good afternoon,

Recently my husband, Pete Wilson, my nephew Jamie Platt, and I returned from a wonderful safari with your company.  The reason I am writing is to commend our guide, Hosea, who was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and an excellent driver (whose skills were challenged several times!)   He is an asset to your company and a great representative of your country.  We were so pleased with every aspect of the trip, and so impressed with the organization - it allowed us to relax and enjoy the animals all the more!

Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Dear Akbar,

Many Thanks from Miami.
I am writing to thank you and Bushbuck Safaris for the incredible experiences that were arranged for me in Tanzania. I cannot emphasize enough how happy and delighted I was each day as I crossed the country. You took care of all the details and my guide/driver was amazing. He knew everything! I had such a great time asking him questions upon questions about the animals, vegetation, terrain, history, culture, and people. He was always eager to respond to any detail and in my case photographing and videotaping the animals was also so important. He was happy to stop and position the vehicle in ways that would capture the best possible gestures and positions of the animals. Part of a safari is not only seeing but knowing the history and details of what you are seeing - He was like a walking encyclopedia that made everything I saw so much more interesting. I am also very grateful to your agency because you further tailored the experience of this safari to what I had expressed would be highlights for me ...such as Kilimanjaro and the luxury tents of the Serengeti which were so beautiful that they appeared to be something out of a movie scene. I felt so relaxed and safe with your agency as I traveled through and absorbed the beauty of Africa. Akbar, I will be sure to recommend your agency in the future. I am telling everyone that you cannot pass through planet earth without having at least visited Africa once. Thank you so much for memories that I will cherish a lifetime.
                 Blessings,

Greetings from California. We landed safely here on 28th and are getting back into our routine life. On behalf of all in my group, I would like to Thank You for a memorable holidays arranged by you and your staff. You were right when you said that we will not have any reason to complain. We enjoyed the accommodations, food and the excellent guidance of Peter in Kenya and Letawo in Tanzania. They were knowledgeable in their field and kept their eyes and ears open for spotting animals and tried their very best to make sure we see everything we came to see and more.

I personally want to thank you for helping my daughter Sonal fulfill her wish on Father's Day by arranging for a cake. It was a big surprise. Sonal joins me in a sincere Thanks also.

All in all, our trip in Kenya and Tanzania was excellent. We enjoyed every minute of it. Three out of six in our group were not really interested in the trip before we started, but at the end of the trip they were glad they came and thanked me for making all possible and I know it would not have been possible without your help. THANKS.

Dear Sir,

Our Trip With BARAZA

My wife Elizabeth and just completed a trip to Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti with your guide Baraza. Not only was he a terrific guide with EAGLE EYES, but he was extremely knowledgeable about the animals. He went out of his way to show us a great time. My wife writes science books about animals and Baraza answered her many questions about animal behavior. This trip fulfilled our dreams. Our thanks to Serena for using your company for our visit to Tanzania and our thanks again to Baraza and BushBuck.

Our wonderful guide, Chepe

Hello Akber

I am Mary Pat Hanker.  Our family of four went on a fabulous safari with your company this past August.  Our guide was Chepe and he was absolutely great.  He made our safari experience the best it could possibly be.  He is amazingly knowledgeable about all the animals.  He has this uncanny ability to predict the behavior of the animals.  We were amazed every time.

Thank you for providing such a great service.  We tell everyone about Bushbuck now.

Please send our best to Chepe.

Mary Pat Hanker

To BUSHBUCK SAFARIS,

Arusha, Tanzania

To the Management

After our return from Tanzania my wife and I wish to tell you, that we are very

satisfied with our BUSHBUCK Safaris tour. It was well planned and organized.

Especially we should like to explain our gratitude to our guide and driver, Mr. Edwin

He was a very competent driver as well as guide. He had great experience and

knowledge and on top of that he was a very friendly and fine person.

To say it very short: he is an excellent ambassador not only for your company

but to for his country.

Please give him our best greetings.

Yours sincerely
