NATIONAL PARKS IN TANZANIA
Tanzania has many national parks with each park offering a unique experience. Serengeti National Park is known to be one of the most popular safari parks, not just in Tanzania but around the world. Serengeti is home to lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and lots of other animals. Serengeti also is home to the yearly wildebeest migration where more than one million animals migrate across the vast undulating grasslands in search of fresh pastures. This is well renowned as the largest mass movement of living creatures throughout the world. It is a remarkable sight that one has to experience on their visit to Tanzania.
The Ngorongoro Crater is also a very popular destination. This crater formed many years ago after an extinct volcano collapsed forming a breath-taking unbroken crater that is more than 2,000 feet deep and over 150 square kilometers. The crater is now home to around 30,000 animals including lions, leopards, rhinos, zebras and giraffes.
